As working women, we are pulled in a million different directions – and our thoughts demonstrate this. Maintaining mindfulness or even finding time to meditate may seem like an impossibility. But Dr. Lori Atkins, showed me how to achieve a few minutes of peace each day without a huge time commitment.

My To Do list is always running through my head. When I’m at work, I think about my kids, the grocery list, the pick up schedules and what we’re eating for dinner. When I’m at home, I’m thinking about my patients, filing my monthly taxes and new marketing plans. We are all stretched thin and our thoughts demonstrate this.

Dr. Lori Atkins is a board certified Ob/Gyn and practice owner. She is also a 1200 hour certified yoga instructor. She has been a true mentor to me and talked me through how being mindful doesn’t need to be as hard as I envision it to be.
