How To Conduct A Year End Review

Listen On

Before looking forward, it’s important to look back. So many of us focus in on goal setting around this time, but it’s equally as important to review the past 12 months – what worked and what didn’t.

Year end reviews are common in business. I perform one for my private practice – assessing our goals and metrics and taking stock. But, equally as important is conducting a personal review. Here are the things I do when reviewing my year:

  1. Celebrate your past accomplishments and wins.

  2. Consider missed opportunities and mistakes that can be improved upon.

  3. Were there any disconnects? Times when you weren’t living your life in the manner which felt right for you?

Take an hour to self-reflect and ponder what it will take to  get to the next level.
