I hate feeling like I am powerless. And I feel that way with my phone at times. As if it’s controlling me and I just cannot feasibly step away being a business owner, doctor and mom.

But, that’s actually not true. And I became more and more aware of how often my phone was in hand when talking with my kids, helping them with homework, heck even when putting them to sleep.

In this episode I discuss 3 strategies I employ to disconnect and unplug from devices and phones to create intentional space (and set a good example for my kids).

  1. Charge your phone at an entry point when you enter your house
  2. Turn on your ‘Focus” settings or customize your “Driving” setting with an auto reply message
  3. Teach yourself (and others) that you might not respond to texts immediately.
